About herpes - got it 17 years ago. Not a huge worry or hassle, but it's part of who I am, so it's best to be honest at the outset, I think. Besides that, I miss the communication and companionship of a long-term relationship. Just a simple life with laughter, affection, comfort, intelligent conversation, silliness, backrubs, traveling, eating and drinking together, all the things well-mated people do I have no family left, and ideally, I'd like to leave this city for good, but I don't have anywhere to go! I'm not from Alabama originally, and I don't have any reasons to stay here. I am financially stable, and my job as a freelance editor/writer allows me the freedom to relocate. I am a natural homebody, but I also work at home, and I'm starting to feel too closed in. So, though I'm an intelligent, funny-bordering-on-silly person who has never met a stranger, I have painted myself into a corner.
