I am an optimistic, upbeat and energetic person who likes to find the good and the humor of it all. I was born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas where I learned the art of being a gentleman. I have lived in Germany and visited other parts of Europe including Holland and England. I raised my son as a single parent from the time he was 10 years old after his mother left us to follow her own life dreams. When my son took an early graduation from High School he went off to college on his own. I took a two year road trip in my R/V across the country. He is now 21 yrs old and going into his 4th year of college. We currently reside together so as to offset his college expense allowing him to enter the workforce without being in debt. I did my civic duty for my country as a US Army soldier. Then I followed that up with a 15 year career in law enforcement retiring as a highly decorated deputy sheriff. I am spontaneous about life and I love people to be happy around me. My life long friends would tell you that they enjoy my integrity, compassion and my sense of humor. I enjoy sporting a suit and tie and spending the weekend in the Marriott Hotel during festive times almost as much as camping out in the wild after riding 500 miles on the Harley. I have a combined philosophy of life that includes some beliefs regarding Christianity, Tao-ism, Buddhism and the ultimate energy life force that surrounds us. In December of 2006 I set out on a quest to rediscover myself on a journey across the United States. I lived full time in my fifth wheel toy hauler RV with my Harley in tow for two years. It was an incredible experience that help to enlighten me about life. I enjoy having friends over once in a while and doing backyard BBQ,s, going to wine tasting tours or playing various board games.
