I've been living with these warts for half my lifetime now and I've thrown away countless opportunities for love because of my fear of rejection...check that...the look of revulsion when the truth is revealed. As it must always be if one likes to be able to look in the mirror. It's been years since I ventured any where near a situation where I would risk seeing that look again. I joined one of these groups a year ago but still couldn't get comfortable enough to loosen up enough to enjoy meeting potential friends...and perhaps that special someone who I know is "out there". Someone who's differences compliment my eccentricities...and vice versa...of course. I have some deep passions I have carried all of my life. Please don't call it baggage. The scars of my life are my only adornments. Most only noticeable to myself but I long to share them with another who cares to know the real me. None, not one scar, regardless it's depth carries with it the stench of regret. Even these warts sent me down the path of self discovery and realignment to the point where I am now ready to seek that which I had denied myself so long...the love of a good woman.
